But it has gotten a whole lot better than it used to be, and if you take your time and set things up correctly according to the instructions, it can really be worth it in the long run. Windows 7 may recognize it just by plugging it in, but it's best to make sure you are using the latest driver. You definitely should check the M-Audio site for the latest driver. Number 2 is a little more complicated, but the fact that you have a 2nd gen unit makes it a LOT easier. If you have installed the drivers for the Axiom correctly following the instructions, it should be as easy as creating an instrument track, inserting a Virtual Instrument, record arming the track and playing the keyboard.

We also really need to know exactly how you are trying to use the Axiom and for what purpose? And I'm not trying to insult you in any way, I'm really just trying to help you, and to do that you may need to accept the fact that you have some learning to do. I do not think it is the devices that are the problem, but possibly how you are trying to use them and your lack of understanding how it is supposed to function. No offense, davidlustrup, but do you see a pattern here?
